Share market in India plunged in red

Share market in India plunged in red as Reserve Bank of India did not deliver the expected 25 basis points cut in repo rate before recovering to finish flat.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex stood lower by 45 points, while the NSE Nifty finished flat. Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Mid Cap & the S&P BSE Small Cap finished up by 0.5% and 0.2% respectively. Gains were largely seen in consumer durables and realty sector.

Meanwhile, bank stocks and FMCG stocks lead the losses.

BHEL share price surged 2.8% in today’s trade after the company posted net profit of Rs 935.4 billion for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to net loss of Rs 10.84 billion for the same quarter in the previous year.

Share market finished the day on a strong note

Share market in India finished the day on a strong note on hopes of an interest rate cut ahead of RBI's monetary policy.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed higher by 199 points, whereas the NSE Nifty finished higher by 60 points.

The S&P BSE Midcap and the S&P BSE Small Cap both finished up by 1.1% & 0.9% respectively.

Barring metal stocks, all sectoral indices ended the day in green. Realty sector and FMCG stocks were among the top gainers on BSE.

ACC Ltd share price and Ambuja cement share price rallied 4% & 5% respectively today as LafargeHolcim is mulling merger of the two companies.

Share Market Ended the Day on a Flat Note

Stock market in India finished the day on a flat note.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed higher by 14 points, whereas the NSE Nifty finished higher by 7 points.

The S&P BSE Midcap and the S&P BSE Small Cap both finished up by 0.6% & 1.1% respectively. Sectoral indices ended the day on a mixed note. Auto stocks and FMCG stocks were among the top losers on BSE. While, healthcare sector and PSU stocks gained the most.

Sensex Finishes Strong Cheering Budget Proposals

Share market in India rose after finance minister Arun Jaitley unveiled a budget with a range of incentives for companies and geared towards boosting infrastructure and developing the rural economy.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex stood higher by 486 points, while the NSE Nifty finished up by 155 points.

The S&P BSE Mid Cap & the S&P BSE Small Cap finished up by 1.7% respectively. Realty stocks gained the most, followed by auto stocks, FMCG sector and bank stocks.

Oil & Gas stocks finished strong with HPCL and Petronet LNG leading the gains.

Sensex Closes in Red

Share market in India finished the day on a negative note as Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tabled Economic Survey for 2016-17.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed lower by 194 points, whereas the NSE Nifty finished lower by 71 points.

The S&P BSE Midcap and the S&P BSE Small Cap both finished down by 1.1% & 1% respectively.
Barring FMCG stocks, all sectoral indices ended the day in red with information technology and energy stocks witnessing maximum brunt.

Sensex Finishes Flat; Idea Zooms 26% on Merger Talks

Share market in India finished the trading day on a flat note after four straight sessions of gains due to caution ahead of the federal budget

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed lower by 33 points, whereas the NSE Nifty finished lower by 9 points. The S&P BSE Midcap finished up by 0.3%, while the S&P BSE Small Cap finished down by 0.3%.

Losses were largely seen in auto stocks and bank stocks.

SENSEX Finished on a Positive Note

Share market in India continued to trade marginally higher in the afternoon session and finished on a positive note despite weak global trend.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex stood higher by 107 points, while the NSE Nifty finished up by 27 points.

The S&P BSE Mid Cap finished up by 0.2% while the S&P BSE Small Cap finished down by 0.2%. Among BSE sectoral indices, power sector gained the most, followed by IT sector.

On the other hand, pharma stocks and FMCG stocks led the losses. Top BSE gainers today were NTPC, Power Grid Corp, Infosys and L&T.

Stock Market in India Finished on a Strong Note

Stock market in India continued to trade higher in the afternoon session and finished on a strong note amid firm international markets. 

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex stood higher by 241 points, while the NSE Nifty finished up by 92 points. The S&P BSE Mid Cap & the S&P BSE Small Cap finished up by 1.4% and 1% respectively.

Gains were largely seen in metal sector, bank stocks and PSU stocks.

Share market continued to trade near the dotted line

Indian share market continued to trade near the dotted line in the afternoon session and finished flat amid mixed international markets.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex stood lower by 33 points, while the NSE Nifty finished down by 8 points.

SENSEX Ends Lower

Sensex Finished on a Dull Note

Sensex Ends Flat

Indian share market continued to trade near the dotted line with positive bias in the afternoon session.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex stood higher by 48 points, while the NSE Nifty finished up by 13 points.

Sensex Finishes Up 155 Points

After witnessing subdued session of trades, the Indian share market finished marginally higher on selective buying amid expiry of December futures and options (F&O) contracts even as Asian cues remained mixed.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed higher by 155 points, whereas the NSE Nifty finished higher by 70 points.

Sensex Surges Over 400 Points

Stock market in India continued to witness strong buying momentum in the afternoon session on the back of value buying in blue chip companies. ITC share price and Tata Steel share price finished up by 4% and 3.2% respectively. Sentiments also remained positive amid firm European markets.

Sensex Finishes Weak

SENSEX Finishes Flat
