SUN PHARMA plunged by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 1.1%

SUN PHARMA share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 496.

Over the last one year, SUN PHARMA has moved down from Rs 642 to Rs 496, registering a loss of Rs 146 (down 26.64%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,766 (up 0.37%). ASIAN PAINTS (up 5.20%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

SUN PHARMA Financial Update...

SUN PHARMA net profit grew 23.1% YoY to Rs 4 billion for the quarter ended December 2017, compared to a profit of Rs 17 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 84.1% to Rs 66.5 billion during the period as against Rs 79.1 billion in October-December 2016.

For the year ended March 2017, SUN PHARMA reported 123.6% increase in net profit to Rs 78.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 63.4 billion during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 110.9% to Rs 316 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SUN PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 40.5x.
