M&M at All Time High; BSE AUTO Index Up 0.4%

M&M share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 984 (up 0.4%).
Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 24,797 (up 0.4%).
Among the top gainers in the BSE AUTO Index today are M&M (up 0.4%) and MRF LTD. (up 0.5%).
EXIDE INDUSTRIES (down 0.2%) and BOSCH LTD (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, M&M has moved up from Rs 689 to Rs 984, registering a gain of Rs 295 (up 42.5%).
The BSE AUTO has moved up from 23,638 to 24,797, registering a gain of 1,159 points (up 4.8%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were EXIDE INDUSTRIES (up 45.8%), M&M (up 42.5%) and ASHOK LEYLAND (up 26.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,892 (up 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are NTPC (up 2.2%), BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.5%) and COAL INDIA (up 1.3%). Other gainers include VEDANTA LTD (up 1.2%) and KOTAK MAH. BANK (up 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC LTD and ICICI BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,751 (up 0.5%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include NTPC (up 2.2%), GAIL (up 1.6%) and COAL INDIA (up 1.4%). Other gainers include HINDALCO (up 1.4%) and CIPLA (up 1.3%).
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,751 to 38,892, registering a gain of 7,141 points (up 22.4%).

M&M Financial Update...

M&M net profit stood at Rs 12 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 12 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 16.8% to Rs 135.2 billion during the period as against Rs 115.8 billion in April-June 2017.
For the year ended March 2018, M&M reported 56.2% increase in net profit to Rs 42.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 27.0 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 4.8% to Rs 933 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of M&M, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 25.3x.
