BATA INDIA at All Time High; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.9%

BATA INDIA share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 878 (up 2.59%).
Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG Index is at 11,501 (up 0.92%).
Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG Index today are BATA INDIA (up 2.59%) and P&G HYGIENE (up 3.03%)
PARAG MILK FOODS LTD (down 0.05%) and HERITAGE FOOD (down 0.09%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, BATA INDIA has moved up from Rs 572 to Rs 878, registering a gain of Rs 306 (up 51.14%).
The BSE FMCG has moved up from 10,100 to 11,501, registering a gain of 1,401 points (up 13.31%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE FMCG Index stocks during this same period were RADICO KHAITAN (up 173.50%), BRITANNIA (up 68.74%) and BOMBAY BURMAH (up 64.15%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,576 (up 0.14%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ASIAN PAINTS (up 4.15%), ITC LTD (up 1.55%) and ICICI BANK (up 1.15%). Other gainers include SBI (up 1.09%) and YES BANK (up 1.06%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC LTD and VEDANTA LTD.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,045 (up 0.26%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include UPL LIMITED (up 6.30%), ASIAN PAINTS (up 4.15%) and BPCL (up 2.15%). Other gainers include BAJAJ FINANCE (up 1.93%) and BAJAJ FINSERV (up 1.75%).
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,904 to 36,576, registering a gain of 4,672 points (up 14.55%).

BATA INDIA Financial Update...

BATA INDIA net profit declined 23.6% YoY to Rs 521 million for the quarter ended March 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 682 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 6.2% to Rs 6.3 billion during the period as against Rs 6.7 billion in January-March 2017.
For the year ended March 2017, BATA INDIA reported 26.6% increase in net profit to Rs 1.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.4 billion during FY16.
Revenue of the company grew 2.0% to Rs 25 billion during FY17.
The current Price to earnings ratio of BATA INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 49.7x.
