TCS at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Down 0.0 %

TCS share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 1,894 (up 0.23%).
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,545 (down 0.02%).
Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are TCS (up 0.23%) and ORIENT CEMENT (up 5.33%)
JBF INDUSTRIES (down 4.98%) and MANPASAND BEVERAGES (down 4.97%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, TCS has moved up from Rs 1,179 to Rs 1,894, registering a gain of Rs 715 (up 59.98%).
The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,368 to 14,545, registering a gain of 1,177 points (up 8.80%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 757.04%), GRAPHITE INDIA (up 414.92%) and RADICO KHAITAN (up 188.67%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 35,577 (down 0.03%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS (up 1.11%), RELIANCE IND. (up 0.84%) and INFOSYS LTD (up 0.81%). Other gainers include BAJAJ AUTO (up 0.81%) and SUN PHARMA (up 0.75%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA MOTORS and RELIANCE IND..
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,759 (up 0.07%). TATA MOTORS (up 2.91%) and IOC (up 2.35%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,246 to 35,577, registering a gain of 4,331 points (up 13.82%).

TCS Financial Update...

TCS net profit grew 5.8% YoY to Rs 69 billion for the quarter ended March 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 65 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 3.8% to Rs 320.8 billion during the period as against Rs 309.0 billion in January-March 2017.
For the year ended March 2018, TCS reported 1.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 258.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 263.6 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 4.4% to Rs 1,231 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of TCS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.0x.
